'''Sitara Devi''' Sitara Devi was born in 1919 in Calcutta. She was the daughter of Sukhdev Maharaj of Benaras. She was trained by her father and by Achchan Maharaj at the palace of the Raja of Mymensingh and later by Kathak maestro Shambhu and Lachhu Maharaj. She joined the film industry in 1933 and worked in studios like Trilok, Sagar, Kumar, Taj, Golden Eagle and Huns.
