The foster-son (Kumar) of Setharathnamma, a
domineering matriarch (Vanisree), falls for a
girl (Roja) from a family that the matriarch
considers an enemy. However, the couple get
married, while the old woman dies a defeated
and isolated person: a new twist to an
otherwise familiar role for Vanisree in 90s
Telugu film (cf. Attaku Yamudu Ammayiki
