Early films for Pancholi. 50s films were usually cop thrillers and murder mysteries (Moti Mahal, CID Girl, [[Guest House]]). [[Post Box 999]] adapted plot of Call Northside 777 (1947). Shifted to Gujarati cinema with the folk fantasy [[Jesal Toral]], a major hit. Thereafter worked mainly in the same genre and language. Also scripted [[Mohan Segal]]’s Sajan (1969).
