Major Madan hit starring Cooper as Leelavati in a social advocating that women should be devoted to their husbands. A highlight in her career and a significant prototype of the genre (cfGunsumlari, 1927). In Madras, the censor demanded that an ·obscene' dance sequence be removed. The film was later recensored on 16 Nov 1923.
