Kaliprasad Ghosh, (1889) Bengali director educated at Calcutta University. Started as theatre director with Calcutta Theatres’ Minerva Company. Established Indian Kinema Arts (1927) with Minerva proprietor Ghanshyamdas Chokhani. Joined East India Film in 1932 and Bombay’s Sagar Movietone in 1934 before returning to Calcutta (1936).
