     10Bendre. The son of Yakshagana performer 
     11Pandaveshwara Puttaiah, he worked since 
     12childhood on the Company Natak stage with 
     13the Ambikaprasada Natak Mandali. Composed 
     14film music for H.L.N. Simha (Abba! A Hudgi, 
     151959), Kemparaj Urs (Bhakta Ramadas, 
     161948), and C.V. Raju (Krishnaleele, 1947; Shri 
     17Krishna, 1953; Natashekhara, 1954). Also 
     18acted in the Kannada film Vasantsena (1941) 
     19and scored the Malayalam one, Sasidharan 
     20(1950).
