Shankar and AVM made the best-known film adaptation of Bhukailasa (1958), while S. Naidu and Nagendra Rao themselves made the screen adaptation of Bhakta Prahlada, their best-known filmed mythological. It tells the Ramayana’s Vishnu Purana legend of the demon Hiranyakashapu, his son Prahlada, a devotee of Vishnu, and Vishnu’s eventual triumph over the demon in his man-lion avatar. |
