     20Chitra (1956) for production. Pioneered the 
     21producer-director’s move into distribution with 
     22Chandravilas Films (1968). Best known for 
     23musical Tamasha films, e.g. the classic Sangtye 
     24Aika, one of Marathi cinema’s biggest 
     25successes. Introduced several new actors (Raja 
     26Gosavi, Nilu Phule, Sharad Talwalkar) and 
     27developed Loknatya-style ribald comedy genre.
